Le déserteur
There is also a fourth Swedish version, performed by Cornelis Vreeswijk, which is more of a song inspired by the original than a faithful rendition in Swedish. It is a far bloodier version, but it brings the gore of war into the song.
See the lyrics here.

Dear Mr Gulbrandsen, the song Desertören by Cornelis Vreeswijk is already included in our website as an independent song. As you can see in the relevant page, we've clearly specified that the music is the same as for the original French lyrics, but Vreeswijk's Swedish lyrics are too different to be considered as a simple translation (and, for this reason, the song is provided with an Italian translation, too). It is a fully self-standing antiwar song that needs a self-standing page; so did we. Anyway, we are pleased to thank you for your remark. [CCG/AWS Staff]

The War of Labour: Emigration, Immigration, Exploitation, Slavery
By including the last song, the transcription of what is maybe the most important album of songs originating from Nazist camps: Songs from the Depths of Hell, recorded by Aleksander Kulisiewicz (a survivor of German extermination camps) has come to an end. All this in the Day of Memory of January 27, never to forget any extermination, any past and current genocide.

Santa barbara bendida,
Patrona de los mineros
mira
mira marucina, mira

9420 Wogan Terrace
[1983]
Words and music by Bob Lusk
"9420 Wogan Terrace was the address of the house I grew up in. I was born in 1947 and was 13 years old in 1960. When I was 16 I was sent to a southern Baptist military academy where I watched training films about a place called Vietnam. When I was 18 I was denied conscientious objector status, drafted against my will and given orders to go to Vietnam. To make a long story short I refused to go and was court martialed, serving 6 months in the Fort Dix stockade. I was then sent to Germany where I was active in the anti-war movement in the military, served out the remainder of my time and received an honorable discharge.
Some years later I put some thoughts down in a tone poem/song, which I updated for today. It's rather narcissistic and self-involved but every once in a while I sing it as a present to myself." Bob Lusk.

Noa cancels appearance at Gaza fundraiser
from ynetnews.com
Singers Noa and Mira Awad, meant to perform at fundraiser concert for Gazans injured in Operation Cast Lead, call off participation following pressure on organizers to have Noa take back statements made in open letter to Palestinians
Singers Achinoam Nini (Noa) and Mira Awad, who were meant to take part in a fundraiser concert for Gazans injured in Operation Cast Lead on Friday, have cancelled their performance due massive pressure placed on the event's organizers.
The reason behind the pressure is the open letter to the Palestinians written by Noa on the last week of the operation.
Part of Noa's letter read: "Today, I know that deep in your hearts you wish for the demise of this beast called Hamas who has terrorized and murdered you, who has turned Gaza into a trash heap of poverty, disease and misery. Who in the name... (Continues)

Fiorentin pell'Isdraele
Version française – Le Pèlerin florentin – Marco Valdo M.I. – 2009
Chanson italienne – Fiorentin pell'Isdrael – Riccardo Scocciante – 2009
