"Each year many people mark November 2nd as 'All Souls Day' - a day to remember the dead. On November 2nd 2004, George W. Bush was returned to the White House for his second term as U.S. President. Immediately, he launched a brutal attack on the Iraq city of Fallujah. We will not forget what he has done." -Teresa Healy

"This was my take on the tragedy of September eleventh. I'd read about a 'Terrorist kit' which had been found in a hotel room some time after the event. It gave instructions on how to keep a low profile; to go to and from work a different way each day; get/steal as many false passports as possible, etc. And then, at the end, there was a prayer to say before setting out on their suicide mission. I couldn't imagine what kind of god these people were praying to that would allow them to be successful on such a mission." -John McClafferty

Introduzione dell'autore:

Testo e mp3 disponibili a:

"Our government is torturing them, too" -David Rovics.
So far I know, it's the only song in the AWS collection telling about the Guantanamo base prisoners scandal.

A Patriot's Anthem
Robert J. Ranney
[2004]
Sull'aria di / To the tune of The Star Spangled Banner
Testo ripreso da:
Lyrics available at:
Centre For Political Song
Dedicated to the G. W. Bush Administration
"A Patriot's Anthem could be considered a parody of The Star Spangled Banner because it follows the tune exactly, but, as it was written by an American patriot loathe to parody the national anthem, it is more accurately a political statement of disgust for the policies of the Bush administration. Those in sympathy with my views have compared it to burning a flag in disgust."

Die Kinder von Izieu
[1994]
