Canzone dedicata a Camilo Ernesto Mejía (1975-), figlio di Carlos Mejía Godoy, il grande artista nicaraguense cantore delle rivoluzione sandinista.
Figlio di cotanto padre, Camilo approfittò di una borsa di studio finanziata dall’esercito americano, previo arruolamento, per trasferirsi a studiare negli USA. E invece lo spedirono a combattere in Iraq. Dopo sei mesi di guerra, esaurito un breve periodo di permesso, Camilo avrebbe dovuto tornare a combattere, ma si rifiutò. Fu arrestato, processato e condannato per diserzione ad 1 anno di prigione e congedato con disonore.
Mentre scontava la pena nella prigione militare di Fort Sill a Lawton, Oklahoma, Amnesty International lo ha riconosciuto come prigioniero di coscienza e l’organizzazione Refuse and Resist lo ha insignito del premio “Courageous Resister”.

Hin-mah-too-yah-lat-kekt, Hinmatóowyalahtq̓it in Americanist orthography, popularly known as Chief Joseph, or Young Joseph (March 3, 1840 – September 21, 1904), succeeded his father Tuekakas (Chief Joseph the Elder) as the leader of the Wal-lam-wat-kain (Wallowa) band of Nez Percés ('pierced noses'), a Native American tribe indigenous to the Wallowa Valley in northeastern Oregon, in the interior Pacific Northwest region of the United States.
He led his band during the most tumultuous period in their contemporary history when they were forcibly removed from their ancestral lands in the Wallowa Valley by the United States federal government and forced to move northeast, onto the significantly reduced reservation in Lapwai, Idaho Territory. The song Unfortunates by State Radio, released in their album Year of the crow is about the West Memphis Three, three teenagers (Damien Echols, Jesse Misskelley and Jason Baldwin) that were tried for the murder of three boys and convicted.
About 18 years later they were released as DNA evidence showed signs of their innocence.
