Via Panicale è una vecchia, vecchissima, stravecchia via del centro di Firenze, nel quartiere di San Lorenzo, nei pressi del Mercato Centrale. Chi è di Firenze, e forse anche qualcheduno che non lo è, saprà che il quartiere di San Lorenzo, da un bel po' di anni, è "nel mirino" di tutte quelle forze (politiche, mediatiche, e soprattutto affaristiche -che delle forze "politiche" e "mediatiche" si servono come braccio armato) che ne vorrebbero fare, come tutto il centro, una specie di finto "salottino". Ora, però, si dà il caso che via Panicale, come tutto il quartiere, proprio la vocazione a essere un salottino non ce l'abbia mai avuta; ma poco importa.
