Ancora una delle tante versioni di “Silvestrig”, o “An distro euz a Vro-Zaoz” (Le retour d'Angleterre)”, ripresa da Son A Ton – Chansons traditionelles bretonnes, come tratta dal primo volume della raccolta “Gwerziou Breiz-Izel = Chants populaires de la Basse-Bretagne” (1868) compilata dal poeta e folklorista bretone Fañch an Uhel (François-Marie Luzel, 1821-1895). La musica di questa versione fu arrangiata da Maurice Duhamel (1884-1940), musicista e uomo politico bretone.

This Irish struggle song for the Easter Rising reached as far as the land of Brittany. The lyrics below is 'The foggy dew' written in Breton. The lyrics were written in 2016 by Brittany poet Dominique Thépaut for the Brittany female choir 'Kan Awan'. It is a faithful translation of the original lyrics, although some parts are left out, such as references to Suvla and Seddülbahir from the last war and the leaders of the Easter Uprising.
