This is a political protest song against nuclear weapons and nuclear power. Originally recorded by Malibu, CA band Flashback in 1982. This is a reboot recorded for Frances Plante-Scott's 2004 album 'Organic Plante' on Orchard Records.

"I wrote this song when Ronald Reagan was president of the US and there was a large cold war arms race going on and the Three Mile Island meltdown disaster had just happened. The movies The China Syndrome and Silkwood all came out around this time as well.

(1) Frances Plante-Scott (Singer/Songwriter/Poet/Activist). Her music is inspired by her 10-year struggle for justice against the US Government and the Los Angeles Police. This album is a search for truth to expose the bogus War on Drugs, the draconian Asset Forfeiture laws, and the war on the American people. After her husband, rancher/landowner Donald Scott, was killed needlessly by the Los Angeles Sheriff Dept.(and involving 13 other agencies; i.e. the US Border Patrol, US Park Service, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratories ??, DEA, etc.), she wrote the songs for her new album "Conspiracy Cocktail" (Produced by Bob Dylan sideman, and film composer Ira Ingber). With the help of lawyer "Johnnie Cochran", Frances revealed the land grab scheme behind the botched raid on her home, the legendary "Trails End Ranch", in the hills above Malibu, CA. Frances has been dubbed the Erin Brokovich and/or Annie Oakley of Malibu.
Frances was born in Houston, Texas. She was the eldest of four children and the daughter of a fearless man who worked side by side with the famous oil-fire fighter, Red Adair Being a pioneer spirit and seeking greener pastures, Frances looked west to the no holds barred state of Nevada. After becoming disillusioned with Los Angeles she moved to Malibu, CA. This is the place her story really took off.

As a political activist, Frances has been featured in countless magazines, newspapers, periodicals and Internet web sites. She has been the featured subject on segments for both ABC TV's 20/20 and the syndicated hit series Inside Edition. She has been interviewed and/or profiled on many international television broadcasts including the BBC, CBS News and Dutch-TV. She has been the keynote speaker at numerous political gatherings including the Libertarian Party convention.
