Phan Dinh Khai, meglio conosciuto come Lê Đức Thọ (1911-1990), è stato il capo negoziatore della delegazione nord vietnamita durante i negoziati di Parigi del 1973, quelli che portarono alla fine dell'aggressione militare americana contro il Vietnam. Il suo corrispettivo di parte statunitense fu Henry Kissinger. Entrambi vennero insigniti del premio Nobel per la pace ma Lê Đức Thọ, con grande dignità e concretezza, rifiutò l'onorificenza perchè, disse, la pace non era stata veramente raggiunta. E infatti la guerra continuò fino al 1975.
Grand'uomo quel Lê Đức Thọ, il cui nome non può essere in alcun modo assimilato a quello del boia Kissinger...
