Parole e musica di Fred Neil
La canzone che apre l’album intitolato semplicemente “Fred Neil”, poi riedito nel 1969 con il titolo della canzone più nota di quel lavoro, “Everybody's Talkin'”, nel frattempo diventata una hit nell’interpretazione offerta da Harry Nilsson per la colonna sonora del film di John Schlesinger “Midnight Cowboy” (“Un uomo da marciapiede”).
Tim Buckley riprese “The Dolphins” nel suo album del 1973 intitolato “Sefronia”.
