Emmett Louis Till went to the south in 1955 to be with his uncle during the holidays of summer and he died killed in August 28. And the fisrt tenor saxophonist of modern jazz called Wardell gray died some months before in Las Vegas because of unknown causes but probably it was also a racial murder. I just want to add the black and white are the same thing that is reason why racism is the mother of hate and snub. Thanks a lot.
Dear Emmett Till,
I know well your will;
This world is not still
But it has to be better.

You wanted the equality of rights for all people
Despite the different colours of the human skin
Because when we die, we all become the same dust;
That is the reason why social segregation is so unjust.

Dear Emmett Till,
I know well your will;
This world is not still
But it has to be better.
We die when we kill
This is just a waltz
For you, Emmett Till.
And I’m smoking this cigarette for Emmett Till…

You were just fourteen years old when you were killed…
And I want to sing your name many times while I am humming
In order to remember your trip to the south with your sad death
Because I don’t ever want another Emmett or another Wardell Gray.

Dear Emmett Till,
I know well your will;
This world is not still
But it has to be better.
We die when we kill
This is just a waltz
For you, Emmett Till.
And I’m smoking this cigarette for Emmett Till…
