Canzone tradizionale di autore anonimo originaria probabilmente dell’Auvergne ma diffusa in tutta la Francia e anche nelle province francofone del Canada.
Arrangiamento musicale di Jean Blanchard, uno dei fondatori de La Bamboche, virtuoso dell’organetto diatonico, del violino e della cornamusa.
Fa parte anche del repertorio del gruppo canadese (Québec) “Alizé” di Gordon Bonnet, Laurie Hart e Julia Lapp.
