By the rivers of Babylon
Where we sat down
And there we wept
When we remembered Zion
But the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alpha song
In a strange land?
'Cause the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alpha song
In a strange land?
Sing it out loud (oh oh oh oh)
Sing a song of freedom sister (oh oh oh oh)
Sing a song of freedom brother (oh oh oh oh)
We gotta sing and shout it (oh oh oh oh)
We gotta talk and shout it (oh oh oh oh)
Shout the song of freedom now (oh oh oh oh)
So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight, over I
So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight, over I
Sing it again (oh oh oh oh)
We've got to sing it together (oh oh oh oh)
We've got to shout it together (oh oh oh oh)
By the rivers of Babylon
Where we sat down
And there we wept
When we remembered Zion
But the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song

RIVERS OF BABYLON
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
ye-eah we wept, when we remembered Zion
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
ye-eah we wept, when we remembered Zion
When the wicked
Carried us away in captivity
Require from us a song
Now how shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
When the wicked
Carried us away in captivity
Requiring of us a song
Now how shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts
be acceptable in Thy sight here tonight

By the rivers of Babylon (the waters of Babylon)
there we sat down (You got to sing a song)
ye-eah we wept, (Sing a song of love)
when we remember Zion. (Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah)
By the rivers of Babylon (by the rivers of Babylon)
there we sat down (You hear the people cry)
ye-eah we wept, (They need their God)
when we remember Zion. (Ooh, got the power)
By the rivers of Babylon, (oh yeah yeah)
where we sat down (yeah yeah)
Ye-eah we wept…
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
