The Mission Bell

"War is tragedy. Soldiers was written about the aftermath of war, how it destroys cities, infrastructures, sometimes societies, and more often than not the spirit of the individual, the civilian, the one who has to pick up the pieces, rebuild his devastated city, and his life."
The streets are empty of all virtue and all reason
The simple man that did not question is no more
Only deception knows no boundary, only honesty unknown

I have no innocence of freedom left to give you
I have no destiny that I can lean upon
Each day will find me wishing only that life's purpose carries on
Now the soldiers have all gone...

A crowded bus will move across an ancient city
A journey that could take forever by your time
And all the history around you -will soon be left behind
Now the soldiers have gone..

From the desolation
came the years of doubt
And the dawning of a new beginning
And the voice of freedom
would begin to shout
Let it now be known there's no forgiving...

A crowded bus will move across an ancient city
A journey that could take forever by your time
And all the history around you -will soon be left behind
Now the soldiers have gone,
Now the soldiers have gone....
