Return...of the refugees
Return...that's what they need
Return...it's the key to peace
Return....
Palestine's their home, that's where they belong
Been living in these camps for way too long
A sad song
Been displaced since 48'
Time to return to where they originate
4.5 million, I wish I was kidding
Some of these refugees since 1967
Israel's founders drove them away
Denied their return to this very day
Now a Palestinian diaspora
The solution is in enacting the
UN resolution 194
The right to return to where they were before
Cuz Israel conquered Palestine by war
Now Israel won't accept return
Cuz it concerns the ethnic character of the state
I thought we learned
Systemic discrimination is wrong for a nation
That prides itself on a democratic orientation
I say with conviction
It's a contradiction
Two peoples in two different positions
Jews can immigrate from anywhere
But Palestinians can't return home
It's just not fair
I hate to burst their bubble
But all their troubles stem from one simple fact
Israel kicked them out and won't let them back
Cuts them no slack and continues to attack
Gaza and the West Bank
From Rafah to Balata
And Jenin
Some refugees hold it down in Falasteen
Ein el Hilwe, it ain't pretty
Life in Shatila is grimy and gritty
In the Khaleej my people bleed
To make some money for their families to feed
Swarming in Jordan, dying of boredom
Documentarians come to record them
Some chill in America without a care in the world
Other than chasing boys and girls
Then there's activists do as they practice
Right of Return committees
We need them in every city!
Return...that's what they need

Lyrics and Music by Iron Sheik
Testo e musica di Iron Sheik
New Pro-Palestinian Rap Music
"Music is an integral part of culture and it is often used to express ourselves, either by creating it or listening to it. In the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict there has been little in the way of music that describes the history of the Palestinian plight, until now. One of the most brilliant new artist/activist to take his message to the microphone is the Iron Sheik."
