Transcript from an Interview with Val Davis
Val Davis is a singer/songwriter who since 2002 has been getting some notice. In 2002 he was a finalist at the SolarFest singer/songwriter competition. In 2003 his music was featured on National Public Radio (NPR) and his music is currently getting airplay at several college stations around the US including XPN in Philadelphia. Val and his family returned to Vermont in Dec 2003 where he does web design and internet broadcasting.
I started playing bass at 13, then started acoustic guitar at 15 or 16. I have been performing since the mid 80s. I first recorded in 1991 with Mark Hallman at Congress House Studios (congresshouse.com) in Austin Texas. Mark has worked with some amazing names. I recorded the majority of my album in my home studio. You can read about my studio on my website.

Do you play live?
I love performing live almost as much as I enjoy recording.

It’s a whole new game with the whole world at my fingertips.

Whereever my wife and kids are.
