JYM MOONEY has been making a name for himself on the folk scene in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin for twenty-five years. In addition to performing his witty, insightful songs in coffeehouses, clubs, and festivals, he has appeared on radio, TV, and cable. He is also one of the driving forces behind The Coffee House, a Milwaukee institution since 1967, and one of the country's oldest continuing coffeehouses.
Mooney has released several recordings to positive critical response, and his work has received airplay on radio stations in Milwaukee and Madison, as well as on the Wisconsin Public Radio network. He has also been aired on the Dr. Demento Show, and his songs have been performed and recorded by the Moxie Chicks, Jiggernaut, Sweet Diversity, Patty Stevenson, Fritz Schuler, and more. He and his wife Carol Lee Hopkins perform as a duo and also as part of the folk group the Moxie Chicks.
"East Side Guy" is a 19-song CD featuring seven brand new songs plus a dozen selections from Mooney's previous recordings, including rare and unreleased tracks.
